Hey all you dogs out there,
Yep, it’s me Ayla and, although I plan to go directly back to napping in front of the air conditioner after this, I just had to tell you about my great morning play session with Maya! She’s the Bernese Mountain Dog that lives down the street from us. My mom says she and I must have been separated at birth, whatever that means.
I was so excited to see her because it’s been almost a week since the last time we got to romp in the fields together. She’s one of the few pups around here that understands my wild and crazy play style…and she plays just as wild as me. It’s awesome.
Anyway, after we’d been running in and out of the stream and trying to bowl each other over, Maya tried to teach me a new trick. We were running through a field that used to have some sort of tall grass growing in it (grain Mom says from the background) but now they have everything cut down and there’s just these huge balls sitting in the fields. Maya and I were running along and all the sudden she was gone. Then I looked up and realized she was ON TOP of this big ball thing. Incredible. She just jumped right up on it with no trouble at all. I kinda tried to do the same so I could shove her off, but I couldn’t get enough lift. I did almost teach her how to stay on the ball when it starts rolling, though, which would be a cool trick.
Mom said she is going to have to start carrying the camera until they take those cool ball things away, in hopes that she will see Maya again and get to catch her doing that on camera. I really could love to learn how to do that, but unless they put a couple steaks up there, I just don’t see it happening!
